Kicking off with a Trunk Show April 27th-29th to show the Fall 2012 and Spring 2012 collections to all brides. With beautiful fabrics such as lace, organza, and satin, Liancarlo prides himself on having the gowns all MADE IN THE USA! Something that is hard to find in the fast growing bridal industry. The designer calls his collection of gowns “refined elegance that encompass combinations of feminine silhouettes with the use of luxurious fabrics, sumptuous textures & exquisite hand work detail.” While not only being exquisite, but also affordable for the amount of detail that goes into each bridal gown, gowns range from $3,000 to $6,000.

February 29th, 2012Our Jim Hjelm Couture Bridal Trunk Show is fast approaching, this March 9-11! Every year our Jim Hjelm Trunk Show is one of the most popular. We pride our salon in carrying gowns made in the United States, and Jim Hjelm is no exception. The designer behind JLM, Francesca Pitera comments on the JLM gowns saying that “Every little thing is important, even the placement of embroidery or the way draping falls over a gown’s bodice. I try to offer a wide variety of different looks so I can give to brides and bridesmaids a range of strong choices. The most important thing to me is that women are happy and feel absolutely gorgeous in their gowns.”
During the trunk show there will be a complimentary discount of 10% and rushes for the bride with the late summer wedding or early fall. Responsibilities
- Perform and complete alterations on special occasion and bridal gowns to fit female clients’ expectations.
- Follow through on client needs in a timely manner.
- Organize workload and complete items on time.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets.
- Actively build and maintain product knowledge through an awareness of fit, style, construction and style trends.
- Educate customers and employees on proper fit, shop procedures and guidelines in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years seamstress/tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
- Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
- Ability to communicate clearly and interact with customers and coworkers in a personable, professional manner
- Possession of strong technical background in specialty skills such as: silks, double face satins, beading, fine hand stitching, etc ~ is desired and a benefit.
- Understanding of safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
- Pressing and spotting skills.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative.
- Demonstrate sound business judgment and organizational ability.
- Is open to learning and developing new skills and processes.
